Since there seems to be a lot of people on here that have these amps and can achieve some pretty awesome tones with them for a reasonable price, I think they deserve their own thread. All questions related to the topic go and I want to hear your guys' sound clips of it! :shred:

Here's my 6505+! And almost all other videos on my channel use it.

5150 212 owner here. Though it doesn't work properly at the moment...

Might have a 5150 III in the mail. :)

6505 212 here. I'm (very) slowly in the process of building a headshell for it to cut down on the weight. As a bonus, my pedalboard would fit nicely in the space vacated by the chassis.

I've owned a 6505 212 combo, 5150 BL head, 2 6505+ heads and a 5150 212 combo. I currently own a 6505+ head and a 5150 212 combo. I also made an Impulse Response using my 5150 212 combo, and it sounds pretty excellent, IMO. Here are some clips, through my Avatar 412 contemporary cab, with Eminence Legend V12 speakers, miced with my Heil PR30 into my Focusrite 2i2 using Reaper as my DAW. Guitar is an LTD Elite Horizon-III with Dimarzio Dominions.

5150 212 combo direct using my IR and my Weber Load Dump: ToneFinder

Also, this is my demo of the first 6505+ I had a few years ago.

I owned a 6505+ head for a bunch of years but recently sold it to buy the EVH 5150 III 50 watts. Here it is:

I currently own the 5153 50 watt, but have previously owned the original 5150 block letter. The 5153 is by far my favorite version.

After years of ditching guitar and playing drums, a friend of mine asked me to play for his band in Europe because their guitarist couldn't go. How could I say no?

Bought a 6505 then, and have had one in my stable ever since. That was 2009.

Currently have a 5150 BL bias nodded, and a 5150II. I previously had a 650 and 6505+ 112 combo. All great amps.

My old band's other guitarist used an old 5150 block letter and it was always killer :metal:

I like 6505 and 6534+ heads played through MESA Rectifier cabs. They're really inexpensive for what you get, and Made in America!

I've got one in the mail to replace my busted 5150 212. Any settings tips?

My main rhythm sound is generally an OD-808 boosting channel 3 with the gain around 3-3.5, volume as needed, everything else at or right around 6. Br00tz.

Without a boost, I'll put the gain at 4, volume as needed, bass about 3.5-4, mids at 7, treble/presence/resonance on 6.

Got a 6505+ combo here, and while sure, it's not the most amazing amp of the line, it gets the job done for me!

I'm running it in the 4 cable method with my POD HD500X, using the POD for all my effects and stuff. I've got the POD's Screamer model in front of it, standard TS style settings, with the amp set like this Gain-2; Treble-8; Mids-4; Bass-6; Presence-6; Resonance-4.

It's probably not the best settings for being miced up, but for just jamming in a room, it sounds stellar.

Proud 6505+ owner here. Awesome amps for the price. Really built like tanks.

I was going for the 5150III EVH head. But I liked the 6505+ better. Sure the cleans are not that great. But it works better for my music. And I think the resonance knob on the 6505+ is a big help.

Maybe an EVH5150III Stealth is in my future.

I was almost in the club!

But Players Guitars and the guitarist on Nonpoint ripped the sale out from under my ass. I had $600/$1000 paid then I got a call from the store saying that they were giving me my money back because the guitarist on Nonpoint lost his endorsement with Fender and had to send the amp back.

Personally, I didn't care how deep of shit the guy would have been in. That was my fuc*ing amp. But nooooooo. Gotta support the artist first. Because Nonpoint is soooooo good and famous!
