hey need your opinions on something..

I intend to replace the pickups on my guitar, it's a cheap dean blackbolt ml
has a mahogany body..

so can anyone suggest some good passive high gain pickups.
I tried looking 'em up but there are just too many choices, need to narrow it down since it is my first pickup change and i have no clue whatsoever i need to take into account before going ahead for it

Try the luthiery/modification section, probably be a step in the right direction

Give us a little more info. What gear are you playing through, what styles you play, what's your budget, active or passive, neck wood? Giving us just a tad more to work with and we can help you out more.

BKP's obviously.

all jokes aside. some manufactures have a site feature that helps with picking the right pickups for you, i know DiMarzio does. Pickup Picker | DiMarzio

also try looking up some of your favorite artists and see what they use to help narrow the field out a little bit.
