I know it's not a genre that many enjoy but I feel like I can get into it based on some of the post-hardcore and melocore i listen to. I'm having an extremely difficult time finding screamo bands so if anyone knows of any would you mind posting them? Thanks

Not sure all these are technically screamo but these are a few bands I enjoyed back in the day(some more than others mind you haha)
that have screaming.

EDIT: Also some early My Chem(admittedly I still dig these guys)

And very early Emarosa maybe. . . though not sure screamo

Don't get me wrong I like the new one but theres something about Skrillex's voice that does it for me.

Hot Cross, Suis la Lune, etc.

If you can sit through the slow 5 minute intro of the City of Caterpillar song it rips into the most triumphant and uplifting octave-riffing probably ever in any post-hardcore genre

These guys are a bit screamoish. Their the closest to the genre I really enjoy. This whole album is fantastic.

These are not screamo, but on the heavier side of the post-hardcore spectrum, maybe you like them:

Iselia rules, I used to hang out with their bass player when he lived in Raleigh. Some other cool local bands like this:
Greaver

Empire

Also how tf has Touche Amore not been posted yet

I never understood Orchid.

From that sort of era, The Assistant stands out as one of the better "screamo" bands. They were pretty proggy as well. I also liked love lost but not forgotten.

Just a few really great bands that I feel fit in. I already saw Orchid posted, but thought I'd post their Chaos Is Me LP
City of Ifa might fit into more of a The Number Twelve Looks Like You, or Fall of Troy'ish category.
The next two are a bit math rocky, but are total skramz.

More mainstream, less ultra-kvelt stuff

Also like this whole EP, goddamn. Too bad they sucked as soon as Anthony Green left.
