Was super nervous about it when my artist put it in me (it's that second skin stuff for burn victims) as I have been doing the same method for every tattoo I've ever had--wash and lotion, three times per day for 2 weeks--but, holy shit, I only got this Tuesday night (it's Froday morning where I am) and it already looks like it has been healing a week and I bypassed the shitty stage of healing without having to worry about it getting dirty or infected.
Talk about fucking anxiety relief.
As an aside, this piece was done as a honouration piece dedicated to my mum, so even if you hate it, it's not the focus of the thread!
