I find that attitude of doing (or not doing) things just because they are legal to be the epitome of apathy, selfishness, and intellectual laziness. All it is is displacing any and all blame to an abstract concept. i.e. "I did it because they told me to do it, it's their fault, blame them!". Sometimes people can afford to be a little bit more introspective...

It's also legal to not pay taxes, you just have to pay a VERY good accountant instead, so it's usually cheaper to just pay them.

The pop cultural interest/obsession with Elon Musk (either loving him or hating him) is a puzzling thing to me. I don't have a strong opinion on him - in my mind he's just a rich businessman, he's involved with companies doing some neat things, and he says a lot of really stupid things. But he isn't particularly interesting outside of those characteristics, and I don't find myself thinking or caring about him or what he does. But some people get so worked up, either following him like a messiah on one side or just bathing in schadenfreude any time negative press comes up on the other side. Like this is s forum dedicated to instruments with a certain number of strings, but we're still here talking about some dude that, aside from news headlines and dumb social media comments, doesn't matter to our lives. Maybe I'm old and apathetic, but I just don't get the fascination with the guy. Unless he wants to talk about guitars of course.
