Dunno if you dropped $ yet but I always recommend trying Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamics and Audio Technica. Sony and SHure, basically all the big co's making mikes. Grado's are fun to listen on but they're not really reference monitors. You need to get some that fit, and have the response and headstage you want. I've got a pair of Senns that sound great but feel like a vise on my head and another pair the curly cable is really annoying.
