^ Sully, you're saying all of the absolute right things and I kind of hate you for it right now!! Haha. Lap contour? I'm fascinated...
I'm in the middle of paring down my stable considerably for a custom shop ESP, but maybe I'll have to price out a 624T with an OFR and see if I can swing it...

Thanks for the consideration! To make it easier for people, I break the cost of the guitar into five installments, and there's a custom quote form for your convenience riiiiiight here. :agreed:

Here's an update on Elita #2:

Before:

And as it is now:

Next step is color (orange), then clear. Should be nice and subtle. :)

Sully,

Your quote form has the Elita as an available body style. Is this accurate?

....and the fifth one has been ordered.

RIP the Elita model.

I'll be sure to keep you posted as the first two are completed and the others move forward in the construction phase.

Happy and sad at the same time. Now I just need to figure out what else to order from you. :)

'71 proto #4 strung up before paint:

I was going to go with a light, watery blue over the angel step quilt, but I'm starting to lean toward trans white on the top and headstock, and just clear over the mahogany on the back and sides. (Ignore the tuners, they're just "partsbox" tuners)

Here's a '71 model that is going to a customer in Denmark. The body and neck are black limba, top and headstock veneers are flame maple, fretboard is ebony with my MOP slash inlays, will have a Hipshot 6 screw vintage style trem, stainless steel frets, and Suhr Thornbuckers directly mounted.

Here's the top; a rather unique flame that I'd been saving for a bit.

I think that should be enough clamps...

Contours roughed in:

Neck pocket routed, neck dry fit. Waiting for the bridge to arrive so I can confirm neck angle measurements before moving forward.
