Sure, we all know what happened to big guitar solos and bigger hair once the 90s rolled in, but the party didn't stop. I made a list of my favorite glam/hair albums released during the dark ages. Your mileage may vary and I probably have a few that I would switch out if I thought about it harder. I had a hard time leaving off Poison's Native Tongue (1993) and Mr. Big's Lean Into It (1991), but whatever. It is what it is. Steel Panther-approved.

1990 Extreme - Pornograffitti
1991 Bangalore Choir - On Target
1992 Warrant - Dog Eat Dog
1993 Winger - Pull
1994 Bang Tango - Love After Death
1995 Skid Row - Subhuman Race
1996 Mr. Big - Hey Man
1997 Whitesnake - Restless Heart
1998 Night Ranger - Seven
1999 Dokken - Erase The Slate

:shred:
Extreme's Pornograffiti is one of my all time favorite albums of all time. :yesway:

Herman Lee from Dragon Force has a twitch account and i watched him and chatted this past summer . he's on all the time live. there was a good ongoing discussion about glam bands and soloing and some obscure shredders that aren't as popular as the big names like Vai, VH and etc. Many were post 80's. check out his twitch channel. he answers questions, jams, interacts with people.

Also, a little late in 1993, this album "Bite Down Hard" by Britny Fox came out....it's so underrated.

Great album. Those guys are locals and I worked with Billy for a while. He was a trip.

Such a great album. Got really back in to Britny Fox big time lately thanks to another one of @ArtDecade glam threads! Their Boys in Heat album is a cracker too
Oh yes, that album is great, too! :agreed:

One of my first cassettes was their debut album. I remember my sister having a crush on them.

Now that's an underrated record.
Amazing album but I actually prefer Wasted in America (1992). Happy Hour and Evil Twin are both slices of 24carat gold

Never understood with Badlands get categorised as Glam tho.... the debut and Voodoo Highway are brilliant but its not glam or hair metal....

They went with the image but not the sound. Look at all that teased hair.

Voodoo Highway is the best thing Jake has ever done imo. Fun Fact: his guitar tech on that album is pre DLR/Ozzy guitarist Joe Holmes.

I lean a bit more towards the debut, but VH is awesome too. My favorite track by Jake is Killer Of Giants off of The Ultimate Sin. If he had known Ozzy was going to can him, that should have been a track saved for Badlands.
