Sup all.

I've noticed a pattern in my recordings. I find that virtually every single mix I'm going through my available ampsims over and over looking for that tone. You know, "that tone". The elusive one, so to speak.

I've decided to go ahead and mixdown the same riff four times, each with a different amp sim and similar EQ to see what everyone prefers.

Crap, I can't post soundcloud widgets? I could have swore I've seen people do it before.

The changes are nominal in each recording. It sounds like the only difference is focus on/in the recording. As the second one I listened to, Legion, had the best & most clear recording.

The lead & rhythm guitars were more distinctly separated, while the lead guitar was boosted & defined. Each other mix had that "Djenty- Rhythm" tone predominant, without the separation to the clean/lead.

So go with what you've done in the "Legion" version as your mixing, recording & "Tone" quest go.

Nice work...
