Great idea. I love pickupless designs.

However another optioon is to route out a cavity for the bridge and deepen the neck pocket. Then route the pickup cavities through the back. Use the back covers as the pickup "ring" of sorts ans voila! Pickupless yet still functional guitar.

I'm pretty sure it's not a pickupless design, more the fact that the routes haven't been done yet

Thanks, guys!

Some crazy axes are being born in that shop, indeed. Being a member on ss.org is doing its best and 7s builds reign in the shop)). However I have one custom Duality 8FF to be started soon.

Customisbetter, would I be able to keep that one for myself I'd probably could play it without the pickups as I love acoustic tone of my guitars most.

I just need to share this:

Thanks, yacker!

I'm glad somebody gives it a shit! Cause lately I got to thinking that either everybody got speechless about my builds or..

Your builds are some of the most exceptional looking guitars I've ever seen. So even if people are a bit quiet with the comments, I know at least I'm always drooling about them.

I know it's really lame when people give their "what ifs" and "I wish I had the money" responses, but seriously if that birdseye guitar had existed in the state it's in now a year ago, I would have been sending money your way. Unfortunately no more job = no birdseye guitar for me. :(

I just can't believe nobody has bought it yet.

I think the birdseye guitar does have an owner, Vik is just pointing out the "woulds" :)

Seconded. I check the Dealers Section every day looking for updates to this thread. I dont say much because I dont want to repeat the same complimentary adjectives over and over as I have a limited vocabulary lol. Your guitars are definitly stunning to look at. I just wish I could play them lol.

It seems to be a bad time over here in the states for high end guitar buying. I myself was unemployed for a year after I got out of the army and have been hopping shit jobs for the last six months. I just lost another job and am moving to the other side of the country for a new job in the hopes of finding a better market in general. Blah blah blah...... Anyway, the only way Ill be getting a new guitar any time soon is if I build it myself or someone buys one for me lol. Doesnt mean I dont enjoy looking at this thread and dreaming.

Thanks for the feedback! those nice words make any wood softer to cut, and fretwire easier to bend and any scratches easier to sand off!
