...plugged Deluxe Reverb in today and cranked it up. Sounded AWESOME for about 30 min, then the volume dropped, the tubes started redplating and it now smells like burnt electronics. Yay!

An attenuator, because while a 1x12 is less speaker than the 2x12 I was using before, my Sovtek is still so goddamn loud.

My tech is great. I don't think it's his work that was bad, the amp has definitely had issues in the past, which is evident by the circuit changes it's already had. It was built in 2014, so not really an old amp...

I keep telling myself I shouldn’t buy the new Big Sky Mx because I have an Axe 3, but damn I want it. I’ve felt a bit of regret for selling my big sky in the past, and this upgraded version isn’t helping.

A lot of little things. The dual reverbs, IR editing, chorale and ensemble from their cloudburst were the big ones for me. Also the usb c connection to use with their nixie editor is pretty sweet as well. hopefully they are a bit quicker to add their promised functionality than Neural with their QC stuff haha. The Mx apparently also has everything the old one has with it's "classic voicing" option. Though with all that being said, if I had never sold my original big sky, I likely wouldn't have considered upgrading.
