Been doing this for a while with my drummer. Heading more in the direction of this song (https://soundcloud.com/dadrunkendruid/flatline) but I posted a song from about a year and a half ago that is more drawn out and post-metally. (https://soundcloud.com/dadrunkendruid/uprising)
Apologies for the quality but I'd like to hear your input. Most 8 string players seem to be doing the djent thing, or some variant. I cannot get enough sludge, and we're kind of in a grey area between doom and sludge now. Using an Ampeg 8x10 with an svt amp, a noise decimator noisegate, cheapo behringher eq pedal, and a pocket metal muff. Just got myself an HM-2 for distortion, can't wait to hear how it sounds on a full size rig.
Also, apologies for the few instances where the guitar cuts out. Damn strap came undone and my guitar landed DIRECTLY on the input jack. Still need to get it fixed, along with my amp and other guitars. Everything I own is ....ed haha.
