at first I thought it was that some American dummy had mistaken it for a Confederate-ish flag... but that's not it...

Is England the The South of Europe?

Didn't click the article because I don't like to incentivize more of these kinds of (assuming here) deliberately inflammatory stories, but deemed racist by how many people, really? A few random nobodies on Twitter?

Edit: :ninja:

Without directly referencing the very pedal that's received much controversy, you should know that all it takes these days is one nobody on Twitter to get an uprising going to spoil everyone's egg mcmuffin.

I mean it's no secret that the British empire was held together by racism and slavery. We need to go to England and start protesting and knocking down some freakin statues. It's about time those limey bastards pay!

Their flag is a watered down confederate flag. They're trying to secede from the Union. How much more proof do you want??

I saw an article today with a headline that referred to an old man as "Grandpa". My brain immediately went "weeeell, you can't say that, it's ageist!" (Very sarcarsically, to be clear.) I hate that the internet has done this to me, and to everyone. I know at some point yesterday I came across some kind of outrage that a group of people was called "guys", which was deemed sexist, for reasons.

Everyone is outraged, all the time, no exceptions. One or two people on twitter is international news now. If you're not offended by my comment, I am offended by your lack of offense.

I guess I'm thinking along a similar line? I mean, calling a old guy "Grandpa" is kind of insensitive too, on some level - but it's that sense of like..... at that scale, does it really matter?

When I start being dismissively referred to as Grandpa in, I'm guessing, a few more years or so, maybe I should feign outrage: "How dare you? I don't have grandchildren- not after the accident!" Maybe they'll feel bad.

Listen, I'm not even saying that the cafe WASNT racist, I guess it'd all depend on motives - all I'm saying is if four people are upset about something, that shouldn't be news.
Given that I'm the one who posted the article on here in the first place, I saw something about it in a video and was just curious to see what people thought about this particular incident. It's rather absurd if you ask me.

With 4 people complaining, sounds like the cafe owner must have contacted the news. In which case... just trying to drum up business?

It's like the pussy melter thing -- you know how many comments have complained that people complained end with "I'm buying one just because!" Fish in a barrel.

I won't lie, I feel like there's another price to pay for having it. I mean sure it sounds great and even though I'm all for the whole freedom of expression thing, you'd almost expect someone who has a Pussy Melter to also have the Peavey XXX with the girls on it and the Jenna Jameson Jackson. That's a lot of fucking cheese.
