Spec sheet nerds - why isn't this LTD M-1000 deluxe flying off the racks?

Genuine question: I understand it doesn't have the fancy MIJ logo that some artists use... but why don't I see anybody showing off a NGD on this guitar?

Like, it has ss frets, ebony board, fishman active pups, and compound radius... very unusual specs for ESP guitars...

There's nothing unusual about it other than the compound radius? New LTDs are also pretty much unobtainable.

Meanwhile, for the same price you could get one of those Schecter Sun Valley models. Or you can get an Ibby Genesis for $1k. Or get a used Prestige.

Did the specs convince you to buy one?

Yeah I don't know who Schecter is bribing to have such consistent stock but very few others are in the same boat. Feels like most new guitar models go from pre-order to sold out before you even notice right now.
Schecter isn't having much luck either. They're drip-feeding new models and some of them aren't available either, as well as existing models.

Personally I'm trying to avoid ebony fretboards since I live in a cold climate and they're noticeably less stable than rosewood. Ebony is really overrated. It looks better on black guitars than rosewood and it's easier to clean but that's really it.

I also have no interest in getting a guitar preloaded with Fishman Fluence Moderns or with a wider nut width than the usual ESP spec.

I do like the compound radius though.

Stainless steel frets on LTDs is fairly new, as is the compound radius. ESP/E-ii doesn't even offer them. Also this has a significantly wider nut than the usual ESP/LTD necks. 3 major "unusual" specs

Exactly, and it has extra thin U neck shape, very unusual for ESP.
It's frustrating they never do wider nut or compound fb radius on the E-II lineup

Standard series M used to have extra thin U then they changed it to thin U when they became E-II I think.

Stainless Steel frets are standard for over a year now on the 1000 models. Also the Black Metal and Arctic Metal have them.

It looks nice but what trem is that? What's the SE stand for? I thought the 1500 was the black one with chrome

Special edition? I think it's the same deal as with Schecter - stainless steel screws. Schecter markets it as 1500 (wow, 500 more than 1000, that's gotta be pretty good).
