I was meaning the Custom 7.

I refinished both of them though and changed the pickups and fretwire. I have to make a thread showing them off.
been watching that one on Reverb myselfI'm honestly thinking about picking up another one. This is a refinish obviously, but I do love me a matching headstock. It looks like they did a pretty good job with the paint. I just see one area around the neck pocket and then around the tuners where it looks like they were installed before the paint was fully cured. I've definitely done that before on my own finishes.

Typically after I buy a guitar I delete them from my Reverb feed, but even if I don't pick that one up I'm keeping my eyes open for another one.been watching that one on Reverb myself
Really cool !I'm honestly thinking about picking up another one. This is a refinish obviously, but I do love me a matching headstock. It looks like they did a pretty good job with the paint. Did you pick it up?
You can also see around the tuners that the paint kind of curled up. I’ve done that by installing the tuners before the paint was fully cured. It could be a light trick, but that’s what it looks like to me.I thought the color was awesome, the chip might have bugged me but I could have lived with it. I'm glad someone scooped it up!
I remember trying to buy this a couple years ago, and the owner ghosted me. Probably a different seller now, but it really pissed me off because this thing is fucking sweet.I'm honestly thinking about picking up another one. The closest 6-string models are RG520 / RG521. The stock pickups in an RG7620 / RG7621 only exist in 7-string form, so a 6-string model can't match that spec. Supposedly, the neck model is similar to Air Norton and the bridge model is similar to Evolution. The stock humbuckers in the MIJ 6-string models were V8/V7 (with S1 in the middle if HSH).Speaking of RG752 and 90s Ibanez models, what would be considered the 6 string version of the RG7620 and RG7621?
I know there's the RG550 obviously but they are HSH and can't find what the equivalent hardtail would be.
I found there was a RG521 but that has V8/V7 pickups and I don't think it's wired the same as RG7620/1.
Is the RG652 considered a 6 string version RG7620/1 or do the same argument apply as above r.e. RG752 not being quite the same?
This is what Ibanez needs to be making again just a plane Jain working horse RG with a LoPro Edge and solid finishes. After feeling like I missed out on a few nice 620's I found a 2000 in very good shape on Reverb. Did I overpay for it? Perhaps, but it has 3 tiny paint chips and I really love my beat up one. So now I have a nice example in a color that I like.
