My money is on Kiesel. They seem to match levels of eccentricity, imo.

Which is half of their customer base.I can't imagine Caparison is that mad about no longer having to build a sig guitar that appeals to approximately .0000000000001% of guitarists.
I can't find the video ATM but Ben from Crimson Guitars did a video on doing fretwork on one and it looked so tedious lolEvery time I see true temperament frets, I shudder at the thought of crowning them.
Yeah, I mean, it's unlikely he'll go for a wildly different spec. Like he plays an 8 string with a whammy bar. I'll be delighted if he goes to Ibanez because that's what I've been wanting them to make for years. Unless it's just a strandberg with TT.Curious about the collective SSO reaction if it turns out he's moving to Ibanez and his new sig is an Indo, 27 fret plain black RG with unbound rosewood fretboard, no SS frets, no Lo Pro and some silly 12 fret inlay
Also curious about the pricepoint if he were to get a Strandberg sig, especially if that's a TT 8 string with a trem
I thought they did something special in the process like casting the frets ready to go or whatever so that crowning wasn't necessary? I could be wrong.I can't find the video ATM but Ben from Crimson Guitars did a video on doing fretwork on one and it looked so tedious lol

Not gonna lie I've never heard a song by him or Freak Kitchen or whatever that was like "Oh, of course he needs TT frets" can anyone point me in a song direction or project that would change my mind?
yeah, but even as a big Capa fan it's kind of trash, it's basically just a "choose your finish/pickups/add a top" level of customization, and starting at $6500 or somethingIsn't Caparison starting a new custom shop-esque line?
I'm probably just being gossipy, but I find it interesting in his wording about basically fretting over this decision for the past 2 years. I wonder if he either doesn't like the quality of his guitars now, or some other company offered big $$$ and he felt too loyal to Caparison to leave, or something else? Honestly I would imagine the money/better offer thing being the most common, which would be fun to think what company that could be...with his rather "wild" specs on his sig, I feel like it has to be some company that could still do that stuff.
I wish Dragonfly would update their site, it definitely doesn't show all their actual models/options etcHe can move to Dragonfly.
Dragonfly showed off a few of their guitars with TT frets. They gave one to Jeff Young at NAMM.

By the way random but how cool is this...
Also for anyone that doesn't know wtf this is lol... here's an older song of his I like:
Do you think the strandberg trem could cope with IA's wild stuff?
Oh. A strandy with an orginal FR? That would be something else.
They couldn't find anyone better to give a guitar to?He can move to Dragonfly.
