Hey all,
I’ve been trying to rewire a 2 hum guitar to Suhr Modern H-H specs; I have the official wiring diagram, and I think I’ve followed this diagram correctly, but position three and position two (both hums and inner coils, respectively) sound like ass. Here’s the diagram and the photos of...
It’s a Bare Knuckle Ragnarok, 4-conductor, so yes it can split. The toggle is a standard 3-way Jackson toggle, I’ll have to look inside to get more details. Easy enough to buy a different toggle if needed though.
Hey, I have a Humbucker/Single guitar with a 3-way toggle, and it’s currently set up to bridge/full bridge and neck single/neck single. I’d like to rewire so the middle position is the inner bridge coil and the neck coil. Does anyone have a schematic for that wiring? I can’t find anything online.
Yeah the 1000 series pro may be the way to go. I’m planning to block it anyway so I’m not too concerned about quality differences, as long as it’s not going to go crazy out of tune or whatever. Thanks!
Hey all,
I know this is an oft discussed topic, but I really couldn’t tell what the straight answer is from review of other forums, so I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve got a Jackson SL27 with an OFR. OFR is great but I often get my hand caught on the fine tuners, so I’d love to throw in...
It seems to me like the valuation is purely because he owned them and recorded with them. I have no idea if there’s a Dogecoin king out there looking to offload his GameStonks profits on “the guitar” used to perform that Icarus Lives! YouTube play through from 20 years ago, but if there is, this...
Another Abasi to Aristides pipeline guy here - sold my Abasi Master Series 8 last year and put in an order for an H/08r trem in January. Shipping out next Tuesday!
Just picked up one of these with the Ziricote top/Hipshot hardtail recently and they are absolutely killer. Pretty incredible deal for the money; I dropped the action a bit and it played perfect right out of the box. Highly recommended.
After many years of admiration, finally picked up a Kiso shop Horizon-II CTM; it’s a real beauty and a joy to play. Bought it from a seller in Japan who was a bit of a pain to deal with, but not too bad overall. Pickups are a TB4 and AH1 neck (I think?). Really superlative build quality; nice...
Yes, you definitely can. Any of the split sounds will work; throw them split on and put the selector in middle position and you’ll be good go (that’s inner coils on the 5328, which is pretty much what AAL uses for all thump tones).
I loved my USA KM-7 Mk III, but the Merrow Fishmans didn’t really do it for me. The “low output” voice was just not really useable on the bridge pickup, and the voice 3 single coil didn’t have much going on either. I would have much preferred a voice 3 that gives you the in-between strat...
Suhr Moderns are among the best guitars you can buy. That said, the Suhr pickups - in my opinion - are voiced best for A440 or Eb tuning. If that’s what you’re looking for, great. If not, buy and swap the pickups for something voiced for lower tunings. Any pickup can be dialed to what you want...
These guitars punch way, way above their weight class. The only thing I don’t like is the pickups; the neck is a bit sterile to me and the bridge has some harshness I was never able to dial out. I swapped in a set of Javier Reyes Fishmans and I couldn’t be happier. The split sounds on the Reyes...
