Balaguer prices are a joke for what you get, that's why you would have a hard time selling it. Could be right down the middle of what most folks are looking for, well not that example obviously, but they'd still probably err on the side of affordability regardless. Same with Kiesels.

But at least there are tons of burl top or evertunes out there. For everyone except me.
What do you mean by a joke? Meaning they're overpriced or a bargain?

I'd love to see someone make the case for them being a bargain. Maybe if they want a rainbow sparkle single neck position, single coil pickup V body, it's probably the cheapest option. You won't get it for a bargain, though. As guitars go they're fine AFAIK, but you're paying more for every little flutter of your own personal good idea fairy that gets baked into the instrument.

On the other hand, if it's a run of the mill configuration and options you're paying more for that all the same. So where we can directly compare them to non-bespoke "regular" guitars they don't have (hold) the same value. At least the Balletglue guitars are decent, they've had a few turds here and there, but generally they are decent. Not worth what they sell to the customer, though. The customer is paying to have it their way, not to have a higher quality instrument. Everyone knows this on the used market. They can take their money and get a lot more for it than what the original customer paid as long as they can get along just fine with run of the mill instruments.

I was saying brass tacks to brass tacks a Balletglue guitar isn't going to live up to the consistency or quality of rack instruments at the same price, and nine times out of ten that uncommon feature/option the customer wants is uncommon for damn good reasons. As far as Kiesels, same problem, but they also keep making turds IME. I was elaborating on my agreement with your initial sentiment.

In my ongoing hunt for looking for Ibanez models nobody here wants, except me, I've got the Jetking gas bug.

I'd love to have the JT4 Bigsby models and probably change the pickups to HSP90s or Gold Foils or something. But it seems these are becoming scarce and those who own them aren't letting them go anytime soon. I should've snagged one years ago.

It's in the uncanny valley. It's close pixel-wise, but it's jarring perception-wise, like this:

And damn, black ESPs with gold hardware, white binding, pearl inlays... top spec otherwise.

I see it now. The mismatched widths. Heinous.

And yeah, I think I've made my love of black Arrows with gold hardware, binding and inlays well known at this point. Absolutely bulletproof.
