    Floor modeller & Wireless suggestions

IMHO the solution is always higher (on the frequency spectrum). However as you pointed there exist many choke-points regarding licencing. I was looking at this currently: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KPBVCKJ/?tag=sevenstringorg-20

    Floor modeller & Wireless suggestions

Does anyone know if any of the companies plan to move out of the "congested" 2,4ghz any time soon? Because RF ain't no clean solution either.

    NGD: Dunable "Murder" Yeti

Looks really pretty and pretty brutal at the same time. Couldn't own it though...the way the pickguard stops showing the 3-ply bellow tha pickups would trigger my OCD all the time...

    First guitar thread!

First guitar eh? I started molesting -eh playing my dad's nylon string eventually hobbling my way through 2-3 pop-rock songs. At that point dad decided I was ready to buy my first custom guitar (lol) and proceeded to pay out of his pocket an outrageous amount to a local folk-instrument builder...

Toan-chasing rant: Helix owners input welcome.

Didn't notice your message before. I ain't using the recto cause it's not mine  it belongs to the rehearsal studio. In addition to that I need ~5 sounds (regarding gain & volume levels) during a setlist and the mini-rec can't do that while the helix (which I own can) On a side note the...

Toan-chasing rant: Helix owners input welcome.

Thanks for the replies guys! The fact is I mostly like my rhythm sounds. They lean towards tightness and don't interfere with the bassist's domain. Going to lead has tonal differences they are just a bit subtle other than in perceived volume. I am using the snapshots (I mean I'd have to be...

Toan-chasing rant: Helix owners input welcome.

So I've been playing with my band for quite some time now, and I am not completely satisfied with my tones. I know I am a bit of a greedy f*cker regarding tones...however that's not the point. Last week we played live in a mid-large venue that has nice stage gear and I had -kind of- a...

NGD. I like Relish better than Mayo

Upper register access is a complete turn-off for me. It's so streamlined, so futuristic, so no-nonsense and then "Nope! Only 20 frets for you!". It seems incomprehensible because such a design surely has a lot of man-hours of research behind it. How could they miss such a glaringly obvious point.

Guitarist has to play some synth parts, what to buy?!?

I must be able to use it easily on live situations, to jump between parts - which means I belatedly realise I'd have to buy an appropriate stand as well. Sequencer/looping capabilities might help but are otherwise covered from pedals (a 22500 ehx specifically). I'd rather keep the budget below...

Guitarist has to play some synth parts, what to buy?!?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I should have mentioned that I'd prefer avoiding convoluting my guitar setup even more. Being able to plug the Helix (alongside the Hog and an expression pedal) and be done with it is a huge boon. A keyboard can always go in the PA. Playing-wise, I can...

Guitarist has to play some synth parts, what to buy?!?

Greetings fellas! As per the title, the band thinks we should try and incorporate some keyboard-y songs in our playlist. Up until now I faked some organ parts on guitar (using a hog/helix combination) but now we would try playing stuff that I'd rather use a real board to play them, instead of...

Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 - Bionic 200W cute little monster

I don't think this is going to compete with the "big 3" in any way. Everyone shouting this down over its price failed to take into account the gazzilion features this thing has. It's an all-in-one portable solution for a gigging musician (one that might be playing different gigs/setlists every...

    Locking tremolo improvements

A tremol-no does what you ask, although some people (me as well) think that it kinda affects the sensitivity-behavior of the trem. Correct installation helps reduce said effect almost completely. If you use no backplate on your tremolo cavity it is also fast enough to be able to engage disengage...

    GJ2 (grover Jackson) guitars

I've heard much hype about those things. Sounds like unicorns farts etc etc... Can't get over the block heel on a boutique superstrat, and the 22 frets to some extent.

2 point tremolo, certain strings go sharp?!?

Hmmmm... So in your opinion this won't be resolved or improved (at least a little) by removing the retainer bar - going to staggered tuners etc. Thanks alot anyhow. I'll try your method and report back.

2 point tremolo, certain strings go sharp?!?

I have a custom partcaster that suffers from the above problem. The neck is a custom job that I really like . There are 2 main suspects: 1)The no-name asian trem (took from an older DZPL strat) which I have setup to float. On the last guitar this was on, it performed adequately. It is on the...

    NGD: The ugliest partscaster

Since you are already taking the neck on and off it wouldn't hurt to check that the neck screws have the correct threading length. I had that problem on an older partcaster that became another instrument after a knowledgeable tech fixed it. It also helped fix a similar alignment problem.

Short(er than 25,5') scale floyded axe.

Thank you guys for your answers! I think I might score a fusion from a friend soon-ish. There is a reason I am so persistent on the short scale; I have had a ganglion cyst excised 2 times and subsequently reappear in my wrist joint. I can play, but big stretches are a big no, and thus every...

Short(er than 25,5') scale floyded axe.

Carvin isn't an option on this side of the pond. I am checking some Fusions on e-bay right now. Anyone owning a PRS 24 SE Floyd to chime in?

Short(er than 25,5') scale floyded axe.

It's that day of the decade again.. My trusty Yamaha rg1212a needs a refret badly, and I am checking my options, on what exists right now that can cover the same bases specwise: 24 3/4'-25' scale, a soft C-shape preferably and a 2-point trem (if not a floyd) I've checked the used market to no...
