ive got two guitars with the barrel style jacks, a carvin bass and my washburn sevenstring. while playing both of them plugged in, if the cable gets tweaked just right, i get this buzzing noise. i just move the cable around till it stops and i have to do this a lot with both guitars. sound like a loose wire but ive looked at the connections are all fine. its some issue inside the jack where you cant get to. ive never had this problem with any other style jack.
are there any companies that make decent quality barrel style jacks that wont distract and annoy the fk out of me? i probably couldnt replace these with normal jacks found on most electrics could i?
