Had this for a bit but still can't decide if it like this finish. Maybe with different hardware or something.

it would look cool 100% chromed out or 100% blacked out

Namely @Samark and @narad
FWIW, throw an offer at the Diablo guys and they may work a deal. They have a crap ton of ESPs, among other stuff, and they’ll budge in the 15-20% under what they’re asking range. Maybe better. (Yeah I’m tracking this one sold, but they get in a LOT of stuff.)

Well, this happened. Got home from year long travels, counted over 20 guitars with a couple more due in someday, and decided I wanted to pass a few on. 4 went on the chopping block and I replaced them with this one. It’s rad. I got to compare to an E-II Horizon and an Original Series Eclipse, and I went with this baddy. It’s a place holder for a USA V-II I’m still waiting on, but damn it’s one super awesome axe. 2nd real ESP, but first high end ESP, and I can’t be happier (despite the pickup ring). I’ll try to post a NGD this time; I’ve been absent with those for years.

Not mine but a little batsignal for anyone in Japan: played this at the 5-story BigBoss store in Ochanomizu. Thought I'd lost the pic until now. Don't know if it's still there but worth a look. Definitely needs work done, seen better days, but the mojo is undeniable.

I would hope it's still there, it's been there for like 2-3 years now. That guitar has literally been there longer than some of the employees on that floor.

To be fair I saw it and thought "why has nobody bought this?!" then picked it up and was like oohhhhhhhh ok that's why hahahahaha

Very cool; reminiscent of old Rands.

It's a straight-up Tagima K1 rip-off but they didn't get the lines quite right.

Yea, when it first popped up I went there to buy it and didn't really like the playability on the upper frets. When I was basically saying that they were like, maybe you're not used to a guitar with low-style frets? It's like... low-style... or just low? Like no, I do not like low frets on my 27 fret shred guitars.

I'm also surprised how it's been there that long and they haven't reduced the price and they haven't budged on the price on it at all for me. Like hey guys, here's 600,000Y for some stuff you're working on -- that guitar, any flexibility on price? Nope. Lol

Just picked this axe up today. I've been wanting to try an ESP USA for a while and I saw the quilt top on this and...I mean look at it!! I normally like to try guitars first, but I rolled the dice...and I'm super pleased with it. Acoustically it resonates for days.

This is my second ESP ever. My first go was with a KH-2 back in the early 90s. Im pretty sure that back then they only made a bolt-on version (correct me if I'm wrong). The neck on that guitar was insane though. It had a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. After I sold it, I always wanted to try another ESP but I hate the ESP logo on the 12 fret. Like really hate it...and for decades it was so difficult finding one without that unless I wanted to spend custom shop prices. So I pretty much wrote ESP off for a long time. Fast forward to now, and...

The specs are sweet, maple neck through, mahogany wings, ebony fretboard. Stainless steel frets. I'm probably the only person you've encountered that prefers nickel, but there are definite pros with SS frets. SD Custom/Hybrid bridge pickup and I think a Jazz neck. First time trying the bridge pickup, and I really like it after raising the screws just a half turn. Has a coil tap for single coils tones, and it plays really smooth. The neck feels pretty good and the access to the upper register is really nice. I always liked this type of bridge. I had a warmoth super Strat that I built with having the image of an ESP Horizon in my mind, and it had this type of bridge on it. Way easier to adjust rather than a hipshot.

I was thinking of ordering an M-I with a Floyd in satin cranberry burst, and wanted to try another ESP USA before pulling the trigger. I'm glad I did because I'm definitely ordering one now. This is an excellently built guitar.

Does anyone take a contact with japanese office? I've got a guitar from end of 90s but it's not a serial model(but very close to MA 480). I would like to find out any info

This model is some sort of reissue of the very first Kiko Loureiro's Tagima K1, produced in Brazil
