Well do you need just practice, or practice and gigging?

If just practice, spend $300 on a katana etc.

If gigging, a 6505 and 212.

Agreed. They do sound great and I've seen bands gigging with them.

Also it seems like the best of the three to nail the kinds of music OP wants to play.

for practicing it doesn't really matter what it sounds like as long as you're the right style/amount of gain... $150 used peavey or randall solid state combo

PRS if you can swing it

Bugera 6260/6262 combo used with a volume box through the loop if your azz is super broke... Peavey 6505+ 112 used if slightly less broke

Do you already have a rig to gig/jam with that you enjoy? If so, and this is just supposed to be a portable practice rig, AND it has to be one of the ones you mentioned... i would do the the 1st option with a 1x12

But for just a practice rig get this:
https://reverb.com/item/18767383-randall-75w-rg75d-g3-plus-combo-amp-2000s-black

I have the 212 version and love it.

-Same preamp as the Randall T2 and V2 so it’s tight, djenty, and aggressive

- Great clean channel

-tube/Mosfet hybrid power section

- GREAT built in reverbs. The other effects are “meh” but the reverbs are great

-you can connect an extension cab (like a 412) if you really want to gig with it.

For real. This is a hell of a sleeper practice amp. I love my 200D

I vote for Option 3...I've runned the EVH 5150 lbx with a Maxon 808 on an ENGL 2x12 and it rips...especially the green channel boosted. One of the best tones i've ever had...
