To be clear, in their other soc media posts, Polychrome DSP is included in the tags, so likely not physical amps.

And one of their employees clarified that it doesn't have anything to do with the old Carvin amps.

That's kind of boring if it's just going to be a plugin. A physical amp with the 'semi-custom' approach to shell colors, panels, knobs, lighting, etc. would be more interesting.
I'd be excited if they could go a little farther than that - let you customize a bit of how the amp functions. Optional boost. Optional EQ before the power section. Optional midi switching. Option of tube types to use, pick your transformer, pick your reverb tank, maybe pick some cap values.

Imagine having the order page look kinda like an axe-fx settings page, then you hit go, and they ship you a real amp.

Doesn't Revv kinda do that now with all of their amps? Would be nice to get more companies who do that whole thing.

Revv, Mesa, Soldano, Splawn, Bogner (IIRC) all do it. Probably more on top of that. You pay for it, though.
