Varangians came to my mind when i first saw the pic (Varangians - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Like a warrior who leaves his home to join foreign battlefields, this guitar takes the battle against the production models of other companies... (not that it looks like a production model!!! But it made me think to order one of these aswell and i'm a production guitar buyer )

So my tip would be "Varangian"

You should name a future build the "End All". Maybe shorten it to Endal.

i see the black oil finish is wearing off slightly, do you stain the actual body of the guitar, or is it the oil that actually is black? this is why i like lacquer better.

i stain the body....

the finish is not oil on that guitar its an open grain lacquer finish..... stained mahogany.... that slight mark you mention was an accident during a live performance of the customer....

yep thats the mahogany you see true the finish in some parts of the guitar its intentional, thats exactly what the customer wanted the finish too look like.... abused weared out open pores black woodish slight shiny see true finish... but the picture does not show the wood clearly really

same finish on this 7 here

Try looking toward Roman/Greek mythology tons of great names, the more obscure the better. Another good source of names is ancient weapons of war. I was watching History Channel the other day and had a special on old siege weapons, names galore.
