With this purchase, I become one step closer to solidifying my position as 'white budda.'
Shaved head? Got it.
Beard? For sure.
Axe FX? Yup.
Les Paul? See below.
But seriously, no fancy story here, I feel more comfortable on single cuts with my Eclipse but wanted something that wasn't the EXACT same model in a different color scheme. So, after moving the Jackson I went out and tried out three different LPCs that were available locally (the others being a 2021 in ebony, and a silverburst with the worst fret buzz I've ever heard in my life).
The ebony wasn't bad but it was just like, yeah that's the defacto LPC, and the silverburst against had the WORST fretbuzz I've ever heard/played and didn't want to seem like a cliche using it for doom/mistaken for a TOOL fan. Plus, after the melodeath thread kicked into gear, I went on a big early In Flames/Arch Enemy kick and seeing those dudes rock them in white/gold appealed much more than the black.
Plan is for all new hardware: sperzel locking tuners, tusq white nut, roller bridge, and most likely gold metal knobs. I also have a Distortion that'll go in the bridge, and the neck pickup will either remain in place unconnected or be swapped with just a blank plate cavity cover.
