Thank you dude, I appreciate it. I have not had the honor of trying those other Italian brands you mentioned, hopefully at future NAMMs if they attend. The Brunetti stuff was incredible though! One of these years I may try to attend the Frankfurt Musikmesse show (Europe's NAMM), perhaps those amp companies you mention exhibit there?
Well those brands have a huge fame in italy but still they are very boutique products so pretty unknown in the whole europe...if i remember masotti got some enthusiastic reviews from certain guys around the UE,and there are some nice vids on youtube you can check:hbang::cheers:

Bernard was there, I had a long talk with him btw ;)

Awesome picstory and nice meeting you, Nick :wavey:
I've just seen this facebook pic of his booth

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho...4895_222675467772674_1032951_1038148206_n.jpg

what did he say? How's he going with his brand?

I hope namm is the reason why he didn't answered my mails since 2 months:lol:

Nick, aside from the guitars, your looking great my friend....no hetero!

Fixed.

edit: @rep: It was a joke, lighten up mr. mature. I'm the straight guy with plenty of gay friends (a lot of which were trying to get with me at one point) and have no qualms about it.

Sounds like someone has homophobia issues and needs to grow up a bit.

Thanks man. Lost about 100 pounds. I still have about 50 more to go but I feel much better these days.

Major thanks for taking the time doing this :metal:

My pleasure man, I look forward to doing it each year. It takes forever but its rewarding.

Good read Nick.

I do so hope we get to see Victor's guitar in a NGD when completed.
Jesus H. C., Bernie carries a huge work load. Maybe guys will understand now when it takes awhile on orders lol.

Awesome post! Sorry to say it would have been greater if I was at the
Brunetti booth when you guys stopped by but alas one has to eat once
in a while. Glad you made it out and for anyone interested in Origin guitars
feel free to check us out. All USA made guitars with many new inovations.
You rule Nick!

There'll definitely be a NGD post when Victors guitar is ready. He's getting a Hesperian 724 Slant Top. Rosewood neck thru, mahogany wings, flame maple top, Birdseye maple board, OFR7, BKPs. Gonna be sick!

The Parker 7 was a bittersweet instrument for me.

PLUS
- USA Parker
- Seven strings!
- Full carbon/glass skin, fretboard, stainless steel frets and piezo

MINUS
- MaxxFly shape instead of classic Parker Fly
- Thicker body
- New, goofy "retail friendly" headstock
- Weight... easily in the 7-8 lb. range, more like a normal guitar, not 4-5 lbs. like an original Parker. I found ALL of the Parkers to be quite heavy, in fact.

Besides the thicker body I don't really get the hate, it has a more comfortable body shape and a headstock that allows it to be hung on a wall etc (things people had asked for / complained about for quite some time) AND it still has everything that makes a parker a parker to people with that 7th string that people have been asking for.

Yeah I don't get it.

Jerich that green Sub camo guitar on your site looks great!

I'm with Darren too, still would love to see a full on original Parker 7 but then again I got no money to buy one anyways so I guess my opinion doesn't really matter, hah.

I disagree and agree. I think the new headstock design looks good and the body shape is also fine. However I agree I wish it had the ultra-thin body like the original Fly. The weight thing: Keep in mind the Parker 7 is a Mojo model, which is all mahogany. Those always weighed more with the 6-string ones. The only models that routinely weighed 4-5 pounds were the Deluxe and Artist. The majority of Mojos we've gotten in over the years have weighed more like 6-7 pounds. Considering this is a 7-string, adding another pound is reasonable.

great post man thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks guys :)
