I always preferred the solid color LPC’s when I was younger but at some point in the last 15-20 years I got more into the tobacco and Silverburst variants. The Silverburst is much more popular these days obviously but the tobacco is still pretty low key, and I dig that. Gotta be one of the full body bursts tho, they got lazy in the 80s and started doing the rest of the body natural. That said, black and white are still classic as fuck and look great so I get it.

Good as new-ish.

Didn’t bother with any sort of finish touch up since this guitar will get a full refinish at some point anyways. Either way, not out of place with the current finish, haha.

Sounds pretty damn good, even with the stock 498t/500r. The 498t has an ice-pickish quality to it similar to a JB that I don’t love but I’ll at least leave this in there until the refinish happens. Gonna need to get all new hardware for that anyways, might as well swap pickups then also.

I tried a $6,699 LPC today. Underwhelming to say the least. The $2,500 SG standard I tried was nicer and had better fretwork.

They're gorgeous but priced at least double what they should be.

$5 says if the setups were swapped your opinion would be too :yesway:

My local store has two 50s standards. One has a great setup one doesnt. Guess which I prefer lol

Nah, if the fretwork was better and the fb wasn't so dry, it would've been an 'ok' LP. No chance in hell is that instrument even worth $2k. Realistically, it's a 1500-1800 instrument at best. No better than any of the older Epi LPCs.

Gonna call shenanigans on poor fretwork and the rest of the post says a ton :yesway:
