Out of the ones i've tried, Edwards and Tokai. PRS Single Cuts, i have to try a LOT just to find one that speaks to me, but when they get it right, its heavily. So far, its just their tremonti USA that REALLY spoke to me.

of the ones i want to try: ESP Eclipse (any generation)

the ones i like the body shape of: Balaguer Astra.
I also love the way the Dean Soltero's looked. Sadly they were discontinued, and then bacterized by DBZ guitars

Can't afford one in the near future, but the Nik Huber Orca is my favorite take currently. I love the sleeker body contours and slightly more modern radius/neck carve. Fell in love with them after seeing Mike from Russian Circles with his copper-topped one live. Otherwise, would say the ESP Eclipse or PRS SC594 are my slightly more attainable second choices.

ESP Eclipse II, especially the recent ones with coil splitting (actually useful, which is rarely the case) and an ebony board. I am not someone who is concerned if guitars are light or heavy, but they are considerably lighter than traditional LPs while still having big toan.

Regarding production model guitars- PRS Singlecut trems and the older ESP Eclipse/MA builds from the 1990's with the based and chad-pilled features of 24 frets and FR trems.
Apart from that, my favorite alternative is having one custom made. This is one I got from a luthier I befriended a few years back with 25 frets, a PRS/Mannmade trem, and a sculpted heel to facilitate that upper fret access.

Gotta be the PRS single cuts but more specifically the tremonti model.

Back in ‘02 or ‘03 I picked up a Yamaha AES820 new for around $290 from MF. Super cool guitar, wish I would have kept it. Had a lot of really cool, unique features. Staggered Sperzel locking tuners for straight string pull, custom DiMarzios, three way rotary tone with an adjustable mini trim pot in the control cavity and a coil split, and an angled input jack on the back. It had two strap buttons on the bottom so it would lean on an amp or wall and be stable, string through body, and a satin finish neck. Really good deal even back then, and you can get them pretty reasonable still. They made a bunch in the AES line. There was a Drop 6 baritone model, a bunch of flame top set neck ones, and even a red Sammy Hagar sig. Yamaha has some really nice stuff and they get often overlooked. Don’t sleep on these bad boys!
