Based on the three I've tried so far, grab yourself a GraphTech nut, the best $10 you'll spend on it. The factory ones aren't cut that great, on par with a $400 guitar, but that's not saying a whole lot.
Personally, I didn't find the pickups too terrible, especially through a decent amp.
Too bad graphtech doesn't make slotted 8s. That 10$ multiplies once you have to get someone to slot and shape the blank. Unless you are comfortable doing it yourself. And if so, please make one for me.
