Thanks everyone !
Yeah a couple of flubs. I was pretty nervous trying out the 8 live. For some reason its so much easier playing it in your bedroom than on stage. I guess its the constant "don't mess up, don't mess up, no spazz fingers" voice in your head that messes you up :realmad:
The...
So I got my 8 string (Ibanez) a couple of years back and had the hardest time figuring out how to play it. I don't really play Djent music and had bought it as a stepping stone to the Chapman Stick. But since its a guitar it serves both purposes, I could potentially tap on it and if required...
One look at the art and this is my take:
Its probably a New-Age / Ambient music CD.
Its probably a World Fusion CD for a certain cause / awareness.
That same candle in the palm of hands would totally make for a great Awareness CD.
I just read your style is metalcore. I don't listen to...
Well, I went ahead with ComicFury as my hosting. And its been working out pretty well so far. :agreed:
My Webcomic:: PROVISCOCITY
Check out my gag-a-day webcomic from the link above !!
Got a chance to listen to it. I don't generally listen to this kind of music much so I can't comment on the song writing aspect. Sounds a lot like the new Djent bands / The Red Chord and some others I've found on YT.
But I can comment on the sound aspect.
I loved the guitar crunch. I...
So recently I've been digging the Melodic Minor sound of John Stowell and it just has this wonderful push and pull quality to it. But I've found it pretty hard to get it into my playing. But I did butcher it with chromatics and made this ! Sounded pretty decent at the end of it.
Looking for...
I think StratoJazz has pretty much covered a lot of ground.
From personal experience, I did the following.
Listen to a lot of Jazz records. Every kind of Guitar Jazz from John Abercrombie, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Holdsworth, McLaughlin, Tim Miller, Diorio, Biréli Lagrène. This will...
Thanks for the feedback. I read up again on the 96k and you are right, unless I have a good AD/DA the down sampling would introduce more issues. Most recommed 48k/24bit, so I'll go with that.
Thanks so much !!!
Hi and Happy New Year to all you fellow musicians out there. Hope this year brings much success and happiness to you and your families !
I've decided to put all my "riffs I've collected over the years" to a CD. So I'm baking a CD this year. I've recorded stuff earlier but never really paid...
Some insanely amazing artists on this forum !! :hbang:
My hat's off to you guys. Those renderings are to die for. I still work with traditional art, here is some of my recent doodles from work
Hi:
So sometime back I had the "bulb moment" to create a webcomic
Now I know what you are thinking, "Great ! Here's another guy who thinks he's funny. Lemme guess, you cracked 5 jokes and someone laughed and called you "funny" and now you think you're the next Bill Watterson."...
Come out and see one of New York's best bands: Ayurveda, my band Iritis (Fusion) and Rob Martino (Chapman Stick extraordinaire) this Friday at the velvet lounge in DC. Its gonna be a great night with some fantastic music.
Iritis | Rockville, MD | Rock / Eastern / Psychedelic | Music...
WOW !!! Seriously WOW !
This is right up there with Animal As Leaders as one of the best sounding albums (instrumental) I've heard in a very long time. :hbang:
Fantastic Mixing and flow. Great music and I absolutely mean that. It's not the "see me play 500 arpeggios in harmonic minor" run...
I have to agree with tr0n on his comments. I've just started to read about mixing and such so I'm guessing his advice is a bit more concrete and real world.
I learnt some new things as well :yesway:
But yeah: read as much as you can and mixing is a learning process.
Hi:
I can't figure out how to upload multiple pics to my album. The weird thing is I've done that earlier, but I can't figure it out now.
I went through some of the older posts, but I can't seem to find the answer.
Thanks and sorry if this seems stupid :squint:
