Just watched this gem of a music video again and I thought of this thread. The lead guitarist is playing Neal Moser Custom Shop Bastard V and I love it!
Has anyone watched Metal Lords on Netflix? The vocals of the kid in the Netflix movie sounds almost identical to this dude playing the Jackson!
From the deluxe version where St Anger had the DVD practice videos, James was using an LTD 7 string with EMG 707s for Some Kind of Monster. I think he also used it for the song Invisible Kid which was drop A.
I'm sure it'll be fine dude. I grew up in the Canadian Arctic and had brand new guitars shipped from the States and southern Canada from warm, damp climates to the dry, cold winters of the Arctic and they were fine after a day or two. Open the case, or put it on a wall hanger to adjust to the...
I've probably already posted this reply, but I really enjoyed it on the first generation Xbox console back then!
Set almost 4,000 years before the first Star Wars movie A New Hope came out, this one was pretty special considering your character is the old Dark Lord - Darth Revan of the Sith...
One that I thought was absolutely fucking ridiculous was John Petrucci's signature Jazz III, with one side of the pick already worn off, then Dunlop marketed it

I found that artificial pinch harmonics are a lot easier with Jazz III picks because they are smaller. Sweep picking is a breeze with em! The black Jazz III's are a lot stiffer than the red ones too. I use the Max Grip ones now.
Not sure if this has been posted yet.
But what guitar pick do you use? When I first started playing guitar at 12 years old, I used Fender Heavys, mainly thicker picks around the 1.0mm range.
I then started using the green .88 green tortoise shell Dunlop picks because that's what James...
Another band I'd love to see get back together is the original line up of Chimaira! But Mark is Mark, Andols was the best on drums and this performance of Six live with all original band members is priceless!
Come on, be open-minded. The vocalist from Dream Theater or even Symphony X would nail those high notes that Warrel Dane did perfectly! Maybe even the singer from DragonForce that did Through the Fire and the Flames.
That was a sweet cover!
Also, any Post Malone fans here? I love Post Malone, he was in a rock band before he got popular with his rap/hip hop music and he's a great guitar player too. Here he is covering the same song, but he's wearing Homer Simpson's fat guy dress  great cover though!
So Pantera is reuniting with Phil, Rex and Zakk Wylde on guitar and Charlie Benante on drums next year, we all know that. Don't give me shit for another Pantera reunion thread.
What band would you love to see get back together even after the founding members has died?
Alice in Chains for an...
I think it would be cool seeing some other great guitarists do some solos live, like Ola for example, he knows Dime's shit inside and out.
If they do that with some guest guitarists, I'd be interested to see the show - as long as they don't have Dave Mustaine ruining the solo like he did on...
Well my dude, you're comparing two totally different guitars. Same body shape, to an extent.
The ESP is a Horizon arch top model with no Floyd Rose brah - no routing for said Floyd Rose. The Jackson is a flat stop model with the heavily routed body with 24 frets.
So naturally, regardless of...
