I had the exact same model and it was amazing, couldn't find one with the rosso finish. The gold plated hardware worried me too but I sold it way before it started to wear.
I installed a second set of deathbuckers and alumitones on my Strandberg NX6, this time with 250k potentiometers. This gets rid all the fizz often associated with these pickups, couldn't be happier. Now my OS7 with 500k pots sounds abrasive.
