I have a few...
Moog Mf 102 ring modulator. It's so much more than just a ring mod, and it's great for trem sounds. It's also the Deloused in the Comatorium pedal.
Mantic Conceptual's Proverb. Simple 3 knob spring reverb with modulation. I hate spring reverbs, but this pedal is just too good...
Almost $200 for a smaller version of a nearly $300 copy of a pedal you can probably get for $50 used. Hell, if you want to go far enough emulate the attack switch, just get a decent eq pedal (also $50 used)... No thanks, man.
I'm just going to say go straight for the Earthquaker Device. I own 3 of their pedals, played through most of their delay pedals, and you just can't compare it to a boss dd7. Eqd kills at everything that they do. I can't suggest them enough.
Thinking about getting one of these. I've had the Bit Commander, the Organizer, and the Rainbow Machine for a while now and I absolutely love those pedals... I'm kind of afraid this pedal will take a few months to musically apply without it sounding one dimensional (my previous beef with the...
Skyrim by far. And I don't really play video games, but I love me some skyrim. I started last semester when my roomate got it and I got to a level 26 fairly quickly. Then one of my new roommates has it and I got to level 26 last night, BUT the game is now unplayable because something happened...
Probably my favorite pedal company at the moment. I have the Rainbow Machine (CHECK IT OUT!!!), the organizer, and the bit commander. Love these guys....
I love them. Definitely one of my favorite bands.
I love how their sound dramatically evolves with each release.
On the pedal bit: Nick is known for his pedal...(um)...ing. He uses pedals in one of the most creative ways I've ever seen. Mainly the Line 6 dl4. Love that guy.
With Volta:
Start with Deloused, then Frances the Mute, THEN The Bedlam in Goliath, THEN Amputetchure.
*WHEN YOU LISTEN TO A VOLTA ALBUM FOR THE FIRST TIME, LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING.* (sometimes, it can be difficult...)
Deloused is my favorite album. But the others in that list are up on my...
Last year (freshman year) I just used my marshall mg50 (old version). It's pretty quiet, but I could still jam with a drummer. It also fit nicely under my desk, so it wasn't really in the way.... Unless I actually wanted to use my desk.
