This was a build from Nightingale guitars in Australia... Kind of stretching the point of OPs thread here but definitely different. It was a number of years ago and I never saw the completed build on his FB page so not sure if it ever got finished
And another build
RGA121 CDR with BKP Ragnaroks and upgraded locking tuners with pearloid buttons... I have fancier guitars but it feels like home and probably reach for it more than any other
I have a JPXI but found the tone on it really muddy when I got it... I ended up swapping the bridge for a Juggernaut which helped fix it up. I've had crunchlab in other guitars which was weird that I didn't like it. The neck and playability on it is great though
The only QC issue I had was...
I got unlucky with the recent patches and my patch which I have used since my Axe fx 2 and then brought across to my Axe Fx 3 last year completely changed. No idea what was different but my "sound" is gone
Back in Oct 20 I put down my deposit for a Custom Ormsby Coppertop 7. Specs are:
7 String Hype Copper top
Black Limba body
Flame Maple neck
Macassar Ebony Fretboard (this will come up later)
Offset sidedots
No tone knob (this will come up later)
I was quoted a build time of Apr +/- 6 weeks...
I have a swirled Ibanez rg7621 where the paint on the headstock has started to lift. This occurred a couple of years ago and hasn't really progressed further.
Looking for any advice on potential ways to repair? Potentially clamping it down and sealing the edge? The paint is quite thick and not...
I think the current carve on mine is awesome
Also I have an RGA121 and the rear is carved completely different... the J Custom looks more like an RGD from the rear with lots more carved off
