Man. Whatever they did to the upper horn of the Pia’s just really makes these look even better than the normal Jem/UV/RG body. It might just be the way the petal cutaway flows, but the upper horn looks straighter and sleeker. Kind of RGDish.

A subtle change, but it really adds something for me.

Wanking over this one... that's pure porn!

Nonetheless, I doubt it will ever see production. If so, grab them! They will be limited runs and will become highly collectible items!

That’s an Ebony board tho. Unless it’s the darkest moistest piece of rosewood ever that’s was then stained/polished.

Edit: NVM I really zoomed in and saw the grain. Just a juicy board then.

Black for the PIA7 would be the smart way to go IMHO, as it would probably appeal to more metal dudes. The Vai guys/collectors will buy any color.

In theory, but most of the Vai guys didn’t even buy the 7V7. I think I’ve seen maybe 3-4 out there on the internet. The black Pia might be more appealing, but it’s still rather elegant in the context of metal.

I actually had a 7V7 and sold it for like $2k. Sheesh. Not sure which is worse. That or selling a Rackmount SLO for $2.5k. Or a C+ for $2.5k right before COVID. I'm so bad at this gear stuff.

I feel the exact opposite way.

The changes to the body shape are why I don’t own a bunch of PIAs to go with my bunch of JEMs. The new colours are amazing, but to me, the guitar now just looks like it melted in the heat :(

I kind of feel the same, I prefer the edges of the RG/Jem better, but these new cut-outs are nice, aesthetically better than the monkey grip, which I think is lame...
