Boss SY1 Synthesizer

Looks like Boss are trying to cram a lot of the SY300 sounds into their usual small housing. Interesting. As an SY300 owner, this is redundant for me, but can be handy for some who think the SY300 is too big or expensive.

That's actually pretty damn neat. As someone who likes to write lead parts in unison with a synth (since that seems to be the cool thing to do these days, lol) that would be great for live shows. One less backing track.

I wish there was a pedal that could do huge gritty synth tones like Author Punisher. Everything is always aimed towards the 80’s though. Gets boring

I just listened to Nihil Strength, it's definitely possible with pedal combos

What do you think of the tracking on the SY300?

It's great. No matter what you play, there's no latency whatsoever. Some of the presets made the high E string lower in volume but not an issue if you're tweaking your own sounds.

After compression, before modulation, verbs and delays.

Before/after drive is a tone preference

I've always liked the idea of getting a synth/pitch shifter pedal but would genuinley never use it, so it's tough seeing demos like that.

Very tempted by this. It's like a combined GT-1000, VG-99 etc etc. However, I don't get why they did not try to launch it alongside a new improved Gk-3 (which is kinda dated).

EDIT: Well I just ordered one, on back order. Looking forward to PnP synthing and routing this to a desktop location so I can tweak easier.
