I'm not sure 100% but I think that's the difference between the Mki and Mkii bodies, the Rutan is sharp like that as well.
Naw my dude those are both mk2, the rutan custom is a sharp mk2 the import is rounded mk2.

Black is an import mk1 w the round cutout
White is a U series mk1 w the sharp.

The rutan custom/ import both mk2 - you can tell by the shorter upper horn

Yeah it's SP Guitars, made by Suffocation's guitar tech. I've seen them a few times the past couple years and he's only been playing his BC Rich though.

I should have a Prophecy Series Ironbird arriving tomorrow. I found it used on Reverb for a decent price and after a few beers I pulled the trigger on it. I haven't had a BC Rich since the 90's when I had a Warlock, but I've wanted an Ironbird forever. I hope that it shows up before I leave for work tomorrow, but if not I'll make a NGD post about it on Saturday or Sunday.

Alright, so this thing showed up about 15 minutes after I left for work yesterday. Going to get into the set up today. The action is way too high, fret ends are a little sharp, some of the tiny square inlays are a little crooked, there was a bit of damage on the smaller lower wing, and there was no arm for the Floyd. I'll fix the action today and when I get some parts in and have the strings off I'll file the fret ends. The neck feels great. I was worried I wouldn't like the satin finish, but it's nice. Once I get the action decent I'll plug it in and test it all out. I've never used Dimarzios before, but I'm using this to record with and all my other guitars have Black Winters in them so I wanted something different.

Saw they're makin' these guys again. Too pricey for me, but I'm diggin' the 80's retro vibe.

According to their IG account, the Ironbird was their best-selling model of 2023.

I feel it's the only old school shape they've really brought back in force in tons of configurations that aren't ugly.

The Beast is MIA, the Warlocks are mostly gross-burst or dated Spalt veneers, Mockingbirds are the same old ST now with lame inlays, etc.

I think if every shape got the solid color, diamond inlay, one or two humbucker, treatment with Quad/Floyd/Kahler options around $2k or under they'd do well.

All they gotta do is bring back the Warlock II for under $1500...

UK here.

Ordered a Chuck Stealth through Andertons on back order in July. BC Rich have delayed shipping several times, and Andertons have kept me well-updated. They're expecting a pallet w/c 19th (although they've been expecting it the last 2 weeks as well...), so maybe it's on that.

Can echo what previous posters said: BC Rich just send them a pallet and the retailer isn't told what's on it ahead of time. Not sure how normal that is in the biz.
