What's going on with the headstock on the one second from left? Is that like a lawsuit headstock?

Nice straps btw, you filthy weeb😛 Maybe you could get a Misato and Ritsuko strap for the middle ones so the whole squad can match. I do like the fast food one, though, it's cute.
That's the best one IMHO. I love dumbass straps but they are surprisingly hard to find.

Oh, but yeah I think that's the old Concord headstock they don't use anymore?

I finally got my new Kamikaze in today, and it's bittersweet. it's easily the best playing and best sounding guitar I have gotten in a few years but the volume knob was set too low on the shaft and scratched the guitar when it was turned. I'm not sure if I should ignore it or talk to the dealer.

@Swarth I agree with @mlp187. It would be an easy fix if it bothers you that much, it will make that first ding or bump easier to take. These aren’t museum pieces, they’re guitars and are meant to be enjoyed. Maybe check with whoever you bought it from for a discount or maybe they can fix the scratch too.

@Swarth If the knob covers the scratch I see no reason to send it back. Just enjoy the hell out of it!
I get it though. I’d be pissed at first.

Yeah the knob covers the scratch and I'll get over it but it's one of those things where you pay quite of bit of money only to have it marred on the first day. It's like coming home to a porche 911 that has a tiny scratch on the bumper, everything else about that car is amazing but that small scratch is still going to be annoying

I asked few pages back about playing feel arrow vs snakebyte standing up and especially how close is the position of your arm lying at the edge of the body with these models. I didn't get any answers, but then I realized that I have program at work that could help with things like that even though I don't do much desing work myself. I took pics of both models scaled them based on the scale lengths. Then using the bridge as a base point I draw the shape of Arrow upper horn and edge of the fretboard and put it on the top of the snakebyte. Those points inside are the fret ends of frets 22 and 24. I thought I'd share if someone else is curious about this. In the end they are relatively close when it comes where my arm would lay while playing and I'd also assume that the bevel in arrow models makes it feel even closer.. Long story short I see some Arrow model in my future.

Another NGD for the year. For some reason I never bonded with the LTD MH-1000 I bought some time ago I ended up selling that one and after a month I found one of these.

This is Ltd Arrow-1000 in charcoal metallic satin. Fishman fluence moderns (with active/passive voicing) recessed tom style bridge and SS frets. I usually like their Thin U necks more, but this Extra thin U felt nice. Only thing that I need to adjust is the recessed TOM without stop tailpiece. I've played so much my Snakebyte and Phoenix with that setup, that anything else feels bit strange at first.

Finally I have it in my hands…
🙌

The LTD JH-600 "S&Key" one of 48 ever made (production was stopped rapidly due to the controversial Inlays and has been replaced by the Eagle Inlay variant).
(Since this is a 20 year old metal axe I doubt all of them are still existing today:hbang: :shred:)
So its very unlikely to find one of those, they are destroyed or in hands of collectors mostly.

The pre owner bought it new in 2004 but somewhen ended his guitar hobby and hasn’t touched it in 16 years, sat in the case ever since.

So now I have the pleasure of bringing this baby back to life and add it to my collection
😁

-gave it a good clean
-oiled the fretboard (first 2 coats have been sucked up by the wood in seconds
😅
)
-changed broken pickup-rings and rotten screws
-disassembled the Floyd and gave it a deep clean (new saddle screws are on the way since I couldn’t get all the rust from them)
-polished the frets (but have to do this a second time there is still room for improvement)

Two things I discovered during this that I have not been aware of…

1. the Floyd Rose is surprisingly a Made in Germany Floyd Rose Original, usually the 600 Signature series comes with the cheaper Floyd Rose 1000‘s models so that’s a big plus
😁

2. it has two EMG81 not the 81/85 set Jeff usually uses and the other JH Signautes have... but anyway that’s easy changeable or I will even leave it like it is since I generally never use the neck PU anyway

Inlays are covered to avoid any Hanneman Inlay Discussion!

I've had this one for a bit, but had it refretted because the frets were surprisingly low, like shorter than a Gibson medium jumbo. But now with proper super jumbo's, it plays as good as it looks. And my friends call it the Stormtrooper, so I guess it's always going to miss?

Last week I had the opportunity to buy back this sexy beast I sold 8 years ago... I am so happy because I really, really regretted selling it but now she is home!

Ha Ha Haaa ha ha ha 🤣

On another note I had my kamikaze push/pull pot swapped to a push/push and I am much happier.

How's the fretwork of these SS frets?
