It hardly seems to be "forcing" anyone to "fork out" anything if it is free.
It will surely work as a marketing tool (for those who already own the Helix) seeing that it will use the same GUI as the Native.
So after selling a Loomis 4 years ago, I am again in a band with sevenstring material. I've stayed with those guys for almost a year now, so I believe it's about time to be able to properly cover what tracks use a seven in them.
I've been prowling the local used market the last 2 months, and...
I'll try to get some (potato-quality) photos tommorow. May be I've been pushed towards thinking about replacing it, because 2 different techs kinda let me down on the subject.
Also what makes the problem even more annoying, is that the way the guitar is wired, when the battery goes, even the...
I keep searching the forums and failing to find the one thread someone mentioned a new company making passive piezos. Anyone here remembers?
I have a yamaha rg1212s equipped with a Graphtech bridge and it keeps draining 9v batteries like there's no tommorow.
I was thinking that may be...
This sounds...surprisingly good! And it doesn't look like it was polished afterwards. Really impressive when you factor in the price. Makes you think a lot about diminishing returns when buying boutique gear...
My only advice is to be extra careful not to injure yourself. If it hurts, you shouldn't be doing it. If it tires you really fast, you shouldn't be doing it. I don't really recall ever seeing six-string players doing thumb-over to play on the 5th string even.
Wasn't he developing another concept? I seem to recall a Premier Guitar article showing a horizontally moving (instead of 2-point pivoting) tremolo. Can't seem to find it now though.
I just want to add an additional thing to the discussion that I haven't seen talked about around here.
Neck stability is also a factor if you want to use strings that have a bit difference in tension between them.
I had an older model floyded Loomis that I couldn't lower the action enough...
A conventional guitar pedal will never do what this pick-up does. It's a niche little gimmick that addresses a niche market for sure. I'd hazard that even people who bought this, installed it on only one of their fiddles. Because even they'd like to have...various regular neck pick-ups on their...
May be some of your pickups are microphonic? I've faced the same problem on some guitars. On those that had meh pick-ups I just swapped them out. On a les paul that had nice old pafs I just epoxied them. Others might suggest re-waxing them.
When you turn your strings towards your speakers (when...
That's my main question I think. Can a pick-up go bad from age? And yes it only happens on the 85 (the bridge pick-up). I'll try swapping and see if the squeel persists following the 85.
Thanks for taking the time man! :)
PS: Now I took in your comment fully. Can a faulty pot or jack cause...
Greetings gents!
As the title implies I recently encountered feedback problems with my EMG-equipped axe, that is a Jackson KV-3. It sports a 85 in the bridge and a 81 in the neck, both gold-capped metalworks. The neck position always had a little hiss but nothing serious.
The guitar has...
Posting in thread cause I am interested in getting headphones for silent practice with the POD as well. I was looking at the M50x,the beyerdynamic dt770 or 880 and the akg 271. Any preferences from those?
Have you checked lately if you are a magic man?
ps: super stunning work by Waghorn btw. If Jonathan Strange had a guitar in the book it would look like this :P On fire with some raven wings floating around.
