I went down that rabbithole...had the Friedman BE-OD (really noisy), 5150 OD (didn't really work for me), Mooer PAL - very cool pedal but can sound "digital" at times, sold it and bought a Ceres. I have been using it with a Mooer baby bomb mainly for practice, I think it sounds...
I have a Blackie LP relic and honestly its a great guitar, I paid $500 cad. It came with epiphone pickups, I only replaced the bridge pickup and the bridge. Very solidly built. To me it felt/feels better than the last ESP EC1000VB I had. Its one of those guitars that I dont have to worry too...
Ah I see, the reason I kept the PS1 was because of its versatility to recording and boosting the volume of my KSR Ceres, Joyo Zombie and PRS MT15. I got rid of my bigger wattage heads. I know I'll miss them, but I wont miss lugging them around. The volume pedal in the loop trick worked well...
I have a PS1 and it works great for attenuation, I have also used it with a "goosed" Mark iv for silent recording (dummy load/IRs) with no issues. The only thing that bugged me a bit was that it seems I was using a lot of tubes/power just to play at lower volumes....have you tried a volume...
Hands down, the nicest neck I have played in the last 5 years is the Schecter Nick Johnston Diamond HSS...no where near the evil esthetic of the LTD BM Series but goddamn great if you are picky about necks...
I prefer the BM series...feels more solid in my hands than the 1000 EC VB. Im not sure if i got lucky with the nut on the phoenix but the tuning is much more stable as well. As Zhysick said, the fit and workmanship is pretty much the same though.
I definitely had different expectations about the BM Phoenix neck profile and when I got it I thought maybe ESP was going for a beefier profile, given it was a Gibson shape copy. Maybe my memory is just fucked but I would also be curious to hear from those who have different versions of the BM...
You won't be disappointed, the amp is a beast. One of the things I love about my MT15 is that the lead sounds are so thick...I have had other high gain amps that don't do that unless you turn them up to ear bleed levels. Speaking of ears bleeding, you will find that the volume sweep on the...
LA Music here in Canada...It was my first purchase from this company and I just want to say I have never experienced this from a supposedly "reputable" music store.
Following many days of not getting any assurance when the guitars would ship, I finally received them yesterday. One of them came...
I bought from 10s a year ago, I had a great experience and the guitar is great. No complaints. They were willing to change the finish for no extra cost which was cool too.
