If you can find the ns kit, it's pretty damn good. No brass, though.
Fwiw, I used to use a soundfont kit. Hard rock drums or something like that. Gm mapped, not multi-sampled, but still pretty decent. Uses a free soundfont player.
Really, both. But a decent preamp will grow with you should you move beyond a cheap(ish) prosumer interface. Those being the first of electronics that signals will see. The line6 built in preamp is gonna be more geared towards hitting pod farm and the like. So accuracy is more key. Accuracy...
massive cpu hog. even with no processing. granted, it's more flexible than ezd. however, there are occasionally cheap add-ons that'll save you a lot of time and headache.....
