I was plunking around on an acoustic piano when I thought of something. :nono: Me thinking is not good.

A piano is a stringed instrument, right? So I wonder how it would sound with guitar-style pickups through a wee-bit of gain.

Luckily for the piano, I don't have the money to do this. But I'd like to know if anyone knows of such an attempt, and how it panned out.

Already been invented. Wish I could play Piano, but I just couldn't rock out with one, when you try to rock out with keys you end up playing a Keytar or looking like Jordan Rudess on some bell end rotating kayboard stand!

Thats what the Fender Rhodes piano did, Max. When you hit the keys very hard it would peak and compress and offer a slightly 'tighter' more aggressive sound. Subtle, but noticeable.
