from my experience a crappy guitar sounds good through a good amp and a super high end guitar sounds bad through a crappy amp.
An Small amp does not need to be bad though, I have a 20 watts one that I enjoy more than a 100 watts one.
All of the above actually, Home, rehearsal and live. Not too much gigs this year due to Covid though. Kinda sucks
I actually use the Duncan Powerstage 160 with the ENGL. Just wanted to keep one because I may be playing live again soon and there's this guy selling a Gibson Explorer interested in...
I cant decide, I like both of them. The JVM is more versatile but the Engl is nice sounding too and it has the benefit of being lightweight compared to the JVM.
Which one of the two would you buy if those were your options?

I have both of these amps and am thinking of keeping just one. In your opinion, which one do you think I should keep? I like both but find myself in a moving downsize scenario and will only keep one and am unsure about which one would serve me the most as far as versatility...
local deal. I have my doubts regarding adding cash on top, thats why Im wondering if its a good trade. what do you think it would be a good deal? and most importantly, would you do the trade? I am suspecting te rg2550 may be a higher end guitar than the 752 (may be wrong though)
Do you guys think this is a fair trade? A guy wants my Ibanez rg2550ex gk plus 200$ for his rg752fx. Are rg752fx good quality guitars or am I better off keeping my 6 string and saving for a better 7 string guitar? I just wonder if my guitar will be better quality than the RG752. Thanks
Hey All,
What pickups would you put on this guitar? I recently got it and although it is a nice sounding guitar, I think the pickups are lacking clarity and overall character. Any experience with this guitar with different pickups? Im guessing DiMarzio sor Duncans will be my best bets but am...
