I think those are mostly for bass. Would be cool when using di or something like that. If it's in your guitar by the time you run it through a million pedals it won't do much. I won't give you the same result as an EQ pedal. But hell. Try it. You might find a use for it.
Not sure if some one answered this, but I always put a piece of foam under the pup and add springs to screws. Make sure foam thick enough to slightly press up on the pup. Works great
Ya you can remove the tone pot. Just make sure it's wired properly. I've seen ppl do all kinda crazy .... in these guitars. You technically could remove the pot. Buy a nice looking switch and mount it in the hole. Instead of pushpull
