I think I'm just a damned ERG player at heart.
When I got a 6, I told myself: "Go lower". And then I tuned down my six. It so happenned that I missed a high string...
And so was it, I crafted my first 7.
That time I was quite satisfied, but what the heck?! I could even go lower and did it...
Probably not the award-winning question, but still: How do you tune it?
Since it's 28", I guess it can be tuned down to a low A. I personnally use the 27" tuned to C or B, and the 30" tuned to low E (or sometimes to low D...).
So what was your idea when you decided to go long scaled?
The advantage of this kind of guitar is that you can stroke it, use your tongue to play on it, and eventually, if it's wet, that means you're a hard player...
I'm already out guys... :yesway:
HNGD by the way! :agreed:
I also like the logo...
I happily own a 28,625" scale 9 stringer, but I kinda wish I would have taken a 30", should I've known before that it would fit much better with the low tuning...
I equipped it with a .110 string, and as my feeling guides me to have tight strings, I plan on getting thicker strings. For a C# you...
Oh my gosh!!!
I've never thought I would be able to say this, but this pink rules!
Despite all that's already been said: HNGD! (sorry it's a little late...)
Well, I can't really say I like the shape nor the headless design, but still it has something appealing... Yeah I'd like to test one of those someday... :agreed:
At first glance I thought the bridge pickup was weirdly disposed when I finally realised it was an optical illusion...
I...
I guess it's worth a shot setting it up.
This guitar seems nice (well, I don't own one but specifications are alright).
With brighter and better tension-balanced strings you should be able to play it better, and the pickups should as well sound better.
Anyway, do you feel the neck is...
I guess nut or saddle issue... But most likely saddle. Try to get the saddle a little upper or check the nut to see if it isn't dug too close to the neck. Because if it's not the string tension or the truss rod adjustment, it lets only those possibilities. Moreover if it buzzes until 22nd or...
O holy impulse buy!
Can change a life often times!
At least you can have a taste of the eighth dimension for now.
This axe seems nice from your description. I only don't like the headstock, but since it's a good working one, I guess I'll do with it as well should it be my first eight...
Fan fretted seems like a good idea, but why not have a try at one of the 27" available baritones on the market? That would be much less expensive, and you'll just have to get a little thinner strings. You won't have any breaking problems with the high strings as well...
Still if you really do...
It seems like a well done job!!! :agreed:
Still I wonder too about the thickness, and more about the weight of this tremendously-delicious-looking 8 stringer... And how does it sound???
Still a very nice looking thing it is! :yesway:
I feel the shape is at the same time cool and ugly... And cool... But ugly... Well, I've never felt so good with guitars having not even a sharp point (oh shit there's one near the selector!). It's kinda like a Miro painting. You wonder wether a kid did it, or a geniusely infantilised techniqued...
Very good stuff man!
The trademark of this is when you watch and listen and you tell yourself: "Hm that seems really easy", and after some time you realise "Wow, in fact that only SEEMS easy!"
It's not really showing, fast or shred or whatever but it's just great by itself.
Keep digging your...
