After worrying for quite a while that this project wasn't going to be fully funded, it finally reached 100%. All the updates have sounded great and I'm super stoked to hear the final product in a few months.
I'm loving it more with each listen. It's kinda hard for me to choose a favorite track, but I love the softer, more ambient stuff they did with "Sleeping Ivy" and "Does it Matter How Far?".
The whole album is great, and I'm pretty happy that on this record they moved away from the djentiness...
Anyone know if the J-series will continue to be produced and sold in North America? I had left a comment on Strandberg's FB page asking, but never got a reply.
It seems there's been a bit of a negative reaction on Facebook regarding Jake's attitude towards the fans last night in Shanghai. I was at the show in Hong Kong on Wednesday and feel the band put a lot of passion into their performances and the crowd did a fairly good job of picking up the...
So I notice that the December newsletter hinted at production Varberg models. Seeing as how those weren't unveiled at NAMM last week, will it likely be another year or so until those are ready to roll out or could it be sooner? Perhaps at summer NAMM?
What was Ola thinking removing SS frets from guitars that cost $2k and up? I was really excited after watching the Gear Gods preview video the other day, but now I'm totally let down. Although I've tried out the endurneck and loved it and want to support Strandberg, it will too hard for me to...
Just saw this on Facebook and I'm super excited about it! From the previews, it sounds like it should be a killer prog rock record. Marco Sfogli can really do no wrong in my eyes and the whole cast is incredibly talented. Vocals sound great too!
Help make it happen! There are some pretty cool...
Found out Periphery will be opening for Animals as Leaders in Beijing in February! As if that isn't exciting enough, Nick Johnston will be on the Asia tour with them, which seems like a bit of an odd choice since he's not really a metal player at all, but damn is he an amazing player.
Since...
Meaningless is basically one of Ragnar's songs from his old band Sign that he and Daniel decided to slightly rework and include on the album because Daniel really enjoyed the track. I don't think it will be too indicative of the rest of the album since that song wasn't written by Daniel, and the...
From Marco's FB page: he's working on a new project with Alex Argento, Virgil Donati, and Andrea Casali. Anytime Argento and Sfogli work together they produce gold, as far as I'm concerned, so I'm super stoked about this. I know Donati recorded the drums for Jester's Tears, which is one of my...
Waking Every God especially kicks so much ass with the new mix. The harmonized vocal lines are much easier to distinguish now. My fingers are crossed that Daniel will release a remix of The Perfect Element Part 1 as well.
This re-release of Remedy Lane combined with knowing that the band is...
I traveled from Tampa, FL to western China with an HH2 which has the same size gig bag as the Vaders and didn't have any issue stowing it in the overhead compartments. For my flight over the Pacific especially, the compartment had a TON of space. Even smaller compartments on planes suited for...
Although Pain of Salvation is about to release a remaster of Remedy Lane, an album I can't fault them for choosing since it's considered by many to be their best and they also will be releasing a complete live performance of the same album at around the same time, One Hour by the Concrete Lake...
