How do I determine if I am playing a different mode or just a progression?

I wouldn't worry too hard about whether the tonality is E "Aeolian" or not. When it comes to minor, it's usually not that cut-and-dried. Just call it E minor and leave it at that. You can play just about anything except for a G sharp and it'll still sound like E minor if you handle it right...

    Post Your GAS

Would love one of these (but they're no longer made): http://www.rondomusic.com/as1000727bch.html Or perhaps a 7-string Soloway Swan (again, no longer made): http://smg.photobucket.com/user/stevo57/media/CBFront03-16-04.jpg.html And of course if money were no object...

    Help finding a 7-string

Check out Jericho Guitars if you haven't already: http://www.jerichoguitars.com/ I'd imagine they'd have something to suit you. Something like an Agile Interceptor might work as well.

Ibanez RGA732 vs Schecter Stealth C7

Personally, I'd prefer the Schecter for the longer scale length. Better downtuning capability.

    I have 200$ what should I buy

This being sevenstring.org, are you looking for a seven-string guitar? I saw that you posted the same question in two different threads; they'll likely be combined into one. Assuming that you're looking for a seven-string and you have < $200 to spend, there are actually a lot of options: *...

What are my options for a 27" Scale 6 string?

There's also the Soloway Swan, which is no longer in production, but available used: https://reverb.com/item/1197637-soloway-swan-fledgling-ln6-korina-2009-heritage-cherry (for example)

What are my options for a 27" Scale 6 string?

Agile has a few options, though if you wanted SS, you'd have to do a re-fret: http://www.rondomusic.com/Baritone_Guitars.html

    Legator Headless model

More $$ than a Kiesel. Price would need to come down $200-300 to be worth it, IMO.

Albums you loved but now hate?

I hit my teens right at the peak of grunge. It seemed like everyone had a copy of the latest Nirvana or Pearl Jam album, and I was no different. As I listened to it more and more, I wondered: "Why do I feel so down when I listen to this stuff?" "Don't call me daughter -- not fit to. The...

    I Need A Hoodie

It's easy for me to offer advice about what I like, but since I don't know what your needs are, it's probably better to ask some questions first. Are you looking specifically for a _hoodie_, or more general advice on what to wear during winter? Hoodie ?s: Are you looking to wear your...

NGD/PSA Dean Exhibition Ultra 7 Acoustic

Update: picked it up yesterday night, but haven't had much time to test it out yet. Will post again once I've had a chance to test out the electronics, take some photos, and do a few higher-priority things in life ;-) I should add that I purchased mine from GC - being able to check it out in...

    What's your limit with retailers?

So... these guys are actually down the street from me--they're in Walpole, MA. I was down that way today, and in need of a bridge pin puller for my new acoustic, so thought I'd stop by. Not sure if I talked with the owner or not, but the salesman was very friendly, gave me a short tour, and...

How do I intonate my Ibanez?

Think: longer string = lower pitch. So if you're consistently sharp, move the saddle back and retune the string. It's a little counter-intuitive, because when you first move the saddle back, the pitch usually goes up a bit. You're adding more tension to the string when you move the saddle...

    What's your limit with retailers?

You're not wrong to be upset here. If someone asks for pictures, they're usually serious about buying the guitar if the pictures pass muster. If the owner forgets, and still forgets after multiple reminders, I question their time management and scheduling skills. Just how badly do you want...

    7-string semi-hollow baritone options?

I am a jazz buff, and I'm highly tempted by a used 957. Scale length is pretty short, though, so I doubt I could go much lower than A standard unless I wanted to use bass strings like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hh9eQDLTWg The catch here is that he's not using the stock bridge...

    7-string semi-hollow baritone options?

I'd actually be most interested with the regular Corsair specs, but with a 26.5 or 27 scale length (Schecter seems to do the former). I have my own pickups I could throw in, and the defaults would keep costs low. No promises yet, however: it'd be a few months before I'm ready to purchase...

    7-string semi-hollow baritone options?

That makes sense--the bridge would need to be moved back correspondingly. Possibly not a huge deal, but on an archtop, I could see where the bridge radius would need to be changed as well. And the AFJ957 has a wooden bridge, so the intonation is pretty well fixed--you've gotta be spot-on. Not...

    7-string semi-hollow baritone options?

Another option: does anyone know if it'd be possible to retrofit a baritone-scale neck to a short/regular scale jazzbox? I've seen a couple of Ibanez AFJ957s used for under $500 lately; it'd be a pretty high-quality instrument for the money.
