The Indonesian made guitars are not bad once they are set up nicely. Key things to note:
The good
1) The necks are stable
2) The fret work is amazing (beautiful fret ends)
3) Guitar is pretty fair in terms of pricing vs specs

Those fret ends look so good. Ibanez does maintain a certain standard when it comes to their fret work. The cutaway at the bottom horn looks real sleek too
I find reverse headstocks better for tuning (feels more natural).
The showmaster is definitely one of the better affordable 7 string guitars out there. If only Fender made a higher spec version. Now that would really grab our attention.
At the end of the day, I feel that the most important thing is that the guitar is structurally sound. The problems that you've highlighted are mostly finish issues which are usually apparent on Asian made instruments that are usually below $1k.
It is disappointing in the visual department but...
