I noticed the 9 and 10 or more string ERGs are significantly less popular than the 8 (and 6 baritone or 7 string depending on the model ).
I want to know your opinion on whether the ERG world is leveling out and leaning heavily towards 8 strings as the usual/common, and what you think the...
With a 26.5/27" I can see that , thicker helped with 26.5"
But with 28+" I find I like light sets (e 8/9- b 11/13- g 16/17- D 24- A 32- E 42- B 54/55- F#65/68...maybe 70)
Reason being , I'm sacrificing scale (aka fret mutability) so at least I can play without BX cables killing my pick and...
Great , thanks Max, that clarifies a lot
And also deadpan thx too'
another related question
Why are these "made for low tuning", to cut the clarity, while retaining the tone?
I really think the claims and reviews point to it sounding like the 81 description
why this over the 81?
I am not...
@dead pan
Thanks dude
Now why is m7 different?
@max
When you say that, can you perhaps say exactly what THaT is that's brought to table in an easy succinct phrase or words? Like I see a lot as dead pan said, the pick attack and clarity and power. Emg 81 and Lace are similar to M7 description...
What makes this pickup special or unique? Why is it so highly regarded? Particularly, the original M7 reviews/links would be cool. I noticed its very popular and asked about so Id like to hear an updated or current take on it. :hbang:
Yes and no/maybe, depends on your ability or technique. Yes in they are the same quality and playability, and no/maybe because of your conditionals, including your proficiency etc. They are all great necks, but as far as the fingerboards, looking at the radius degree might be important too...
Lundgren m8, the father of djents signature pup, can't lose. Best I've heard myself, and I think it's worth $200 if it actually is as amazing as it seems (808 might be least fave pup btw)
Nicest guitar I've seen in decades, perhaps ever
Congrats and Hngd
You got yourself a keeper 4 Life, both the lady ,mistress majesty in the photos, and your real lady, who's got amazing taste, lucky dude lol
Absolutely his best interest is in mind, we're trying to both help , we're just going about it differently , of course ;)
PS the blind was about not looking at the proof on the EBMM reviews, not that you were purposely being subversive, but it was too dry and sarcasm doesn't translate well on...
^ good point: these are all prebundled I was talking about, but you can of course go to Sam ash and like ask for singles in whatever set you like to customize for yourself, but honestly, why bother going through the hassle if you like a brand, especially I recommend something that I think is...
HNGD and you are lucky man.
Never saw it in rosewood, I thought they only came in that one onyx model, but the XI-7 is like the best axe IMO. Literally. Only the Majesty is better, but that's like something in a rare league of its own, like a Sky guitar or something.
