I'm not sure how well known these guys are. If you haven't heard them then you should rectify that. One of the best math/grind bands out there. I honestly can't think of anything else that sounds like their latest album.

Miller and Jamerson are totally different tones haha. For Marcus I'd probably go for a pretty heavy mid-scoop, boost treble and bass, and solo the bridge pickup. Jamerson is a pretty tough tone to nail, at least, with your current gear. A big part of his sound is flatwound strings and the p-bass...
"Many of you may not know that I have maintained a day job throughout building up Strandberg Guitars, and have had to rely on licensing to grow, but I have come to realize that the buck has to stop with me (as correctly stated in earlier comments)."
Does this mean there will be no more...

I'm 17, technically on my last year of being a kid. Honestly I think that some kids in this thread are a little too proud of themselves.
Most people I know, when exposed to good music (with an open mind), end up getting into good music. All my friends are obsessed with Guthrie Govan these...
Soapbars are just housings, you could have almost anything underneath a soapbar housing. I'm going to assume what you have a split design based off of a single-coil. You can get almost anything in a soapbar housing though; Dingwall offers P-pups in some of their soapbars. Like guitar pickups...
If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably take this over a prestige. These appeal more to me aesthetically, have comparable build quality, identical hardware, and much better electronics (nordy pickups are killer). Kudos on a great choice, haha!
Interesting stuff guys. It seems to definitely lie in the mids. I love bass, I'd have to, I play it. I'm interested in emulating a guitar tone for writing purposes.
